How do I use a gift card and a discount code for a purchase together?

On the checkout screen you will see a field to enter either a 16-character gift card/merchandise credit code or a discount code. Once you enter your gift card/merchandise credit code into that field and click "Apply," the field should repopulate, allowing you to enter a discount code as well.
